WORKSHOPS WE OFFER

As part of TULIP Children’s prevention, awareness and advocacy initiatives, we organize several workshops that are conducted by professionals trained in the field of education, child rights, medicine and performing arts. Following are a list of workshops we offer throughout the year:

WORKSHOPS FOR TEACHERS

MAKING MIRACLES WITH CHILDREN:

We believe that teachers are miracle workers. They not only influence their students but help them realize their potential. What impact does a teacher have on her/his students? How can we teach children with diverse needs in the same classroom? What are our rights and responsibilities? How can we bridge the gap between the home and the school? These are some of the many questions that the workshop will help the teachers determine.

HELPING CHILDREN WITH LEARNING PROBLEMS IN A REGULAR CLASSROOM:

No two children in a classroom are the same. There are some who are intelligent, some are average and some who need a little more of our attention. We cannot expect the child to change, what has to change is the way we teach. This workshop will help teachers understand how to cater to the individual needs of children without compromising on the rest of the class.

TEACHING STUDENTS, TIME MANAGEMENT AND STUDY SKILLS:

Teachers bridge the gap between the home and school. While it is our responsibility to ensure that the students learn well in the classroom, it is also important for us to help them transfer this learning back home. An understanding of time management and study skills will help us teach the children to use their time effectively and study well for exams while at home, without tuitions, stress and compromising on time with friends and family.

WORKSHOPS FOR PARENTS

HAPPY FAMILIES MAKE HAPPY CHILDREN:

A family is the child’s first school and that’s where the child is the happiest. The dynamics of a family have changed dramatically from when we were children. Nuclear families, working parents and peer pressure, competition have all changed the way parents raise their children today. This workshop aims at helping parents understand the needs of their children and how they need to cater to them. We will only reinforce the fact that parenting is the most pleasurable and satisfying job in the world.

RAISING CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES
(Without pressure, medication and tuitions):

Many parents are unaware that learning difficulties are not disabilities. They are mere difficulties in learning that can be overcome when a child is raised with the right approach and taught through the right methods. This workshop will help parents understand how they can work around their child’s learning difficulties without medication, pressure and tuitions.

TIME MANAGEMENT AND STUDY SKILLS:

This workshop is about teaching our children to take and enjoy life fully and not to let school work and/or studies take control of their lives. It is helping our children to take examinations in their stride and becoming independent learners for life.

WORKSHOPS FOR STUDENTS

CREATIVITY CAMPS:

This workshop aims at helping children reunite with their inborn but dormant creativity with no frameworks or boundaries limiting their imagination. To let the child’s innocence and magical wonder manifest itself beautifully through creativity and nature. This workshop is to enhance and encourage a child’s natural instinct to think out of the box, from the box and within the confinements of the box.

TIME MANAGEMENT AND STUDY SKILLS:

This workshop is for teaching students of grade 9 to grade 12 the importance of time as the most valuable limited resource. It is to teach them to make best use of it by adding value to their effort to reap maximum success with optimum effort. By the end of the workshop the student would have learned the art of being an independent and confident learner for life.

All our workshops are designed for a maximum of thirty participants per session. Duration of workshops may range from a minimum of an hour to a full day workshop. Kindly feel free to contact us for any further information that you may require.
