RTE Act: Model Rules
Model Rules for the Right of Children to Free and compulsory Education are detailed guidelines set by the Central Government for State and Local authorities in order to implement the RTE effectively. These outline the duties of all the institutions involved in providing free and compulsory education to children in India. The model rules clearly define the role and responsibility of the state government, local and appropriate government along with those of the schools, teachers, parents and The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights and the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
